We inform you that, pursuant to EU Regulation no. 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”), Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (hereinafter “IIT”) will collect some of your personal data (i.e. name, surname, email, affiliation, image, voice) for the purpose of processing your participation to the “Protein Electrostatics Conference 2021 - Online edition” and for organisational matters. The conference will be held on Zoom and stream on Youtube.
The Data Controller for the data provided is IIT, based in Via Morego, 30 – 16163 Genova – phone 010 28961. The Data Protection Officer can be contacted at the email address: dpo@iit.it. The legal basis for data processing is your optional consent (article 6, letter a) of the GDPR). The data will be stored for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purpose and in any case for no longer than 1 year from the filling out of the form. If indicated by you, IIT may also process your personal data in order to invite you to the next European “Protein Electrostatics Conference” which will take place in two years’ time. Also in this case, the legal basis for data processing is your optional consent (article 6, letter a) of the GDPR) and your data will be stored for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purpose and in any case no later than the next European “Protein Electrostatics Conference. Moreover you can choose, at your sole discretion, whether to authorize IIT to carry out the following activities: • Take photographs, videos and/or audio recordings of your talk during the conference; • Use the resulting photographs and/or videos and/or audio recordings for producing publications, videos and various informative material, which IIT may publish for scientific, informative, educational and institutional purposes, on its website and/or on other sites specialized in scientific dissemination, as well circulation through every means of communication. Your personal data will be processed by IIT’s authorized Staff who are involved in the organisation of the conference and who manage the form. The data will not be disclosed or transferred to any third party, unless this is necessary to ensure your participation in the activities you have requested. In particular your data will be managed by Zoom and Youtube and could be transferred outside the EU by using appropriate safeguards under GDPR. You can exercise the rights provided by articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR contacting our Data Protection Officer (dpo@iit.it). In particular, you have the right to access your personal data, to obtain the updating, the adjustment and the erasure of the personal data and you can exercise the rights to restrict and to object the processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time and, whether you think that the processing violate the rules on the protection of personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority.
