Dear Participant,

We kindly inform you that, pursuant to article 13 of the EU Regulation no. 679/2016 (hereinafter “GDPR”), Foundation Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (hereinafter “IIT”) will process your personal data for the purpose of your enroll and participation to the “BIOCUBE MEETING” (mandatory data) and for statistical purposes (facultative data).

The legal basis of data processing is Article 6, par. 1, point b) of GDPR for mandatory data (to handle your request of participation), and Article 6, par. 1, point f) of GDPR for facultative data (to pursuit a legitimate interest of IIT).
The processing of personal data will be carried out by electronic means, observing GDPR provisions, and will be stored for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes.
Solely IIT’s Staff, appointed as Persons Authorized to process personal data, will process your personal data. 
Personal data will not be disclosed or transferred to any third party.
You can exercise the rights provided by articles 15 et seq. of GDPR, contacting the Data Protection Officer at the following e-mail address dpo@iit.it 
In particular, you have the right to access to your personal data, to obtain the updating, the adjustment and the erasure of the personal data and exercise the rights to restrict and to object the data processing. 
Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority whether you think that the processing violate the rules on the protection of personal data.
Finally, we inform you that there is no type of automated decision-making process for the processing of the above data, pursuant to Article 22 of GDPR.
